The Arrival
The house has been cleaned,
The linens have been readied,
We’ve had a bath,
And the backyard has been freshly mowed and tended.
That’s right, Invisible Subjects.
Ben’s parents are coming to town!
You see, Ben’s birthday is on Thursday. And you know what that means.
As Queen of the Pond, I demand gifts and toys. For me. Not Ben.
As Queen of the Pond, I demand tasty new treats.
And as Queen of the Pond, I demand a warm tummy or shoulder to sleep on.
Ace the Dog is not welcome here. As Queen, I decree this to be a two Chihuahua zone. Get it?
And I demand that HE doesn’t come.
I think that completes my list of demands. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. And Invisible Subjects, please don’t be alarmed if the Blond Duck doesn’t stop by your blogs as regularly. She’ll be quite busy giving me the celebration I deserve.
