Critter Confession

Posted on May 30th, 2009 in Stories

Here at the Pond, we have lots of creatures–real, imaginary, stuffed, statue-like, flying, crawling…you get the idea.  And sometimes, our creatures get the urge to purse their souls.  They wish to empty their closets of skeletons, unlock secrets from their souls and bare all.

And now is one of those times.

So for the first time ever, Invisible Friends, we have a critter confession….from the Love Pig.

Hello, Invisible Friends.

I confess.

I couldn’t help it.

I couldn’t deny myself.

I was smitten.

I was in love with a warthog.

You see, when I was a piglet, I dated an older warthog.  Tusks, furry chin, cranky disposition–she had it all.  I was enamored with her snorts, captivated by her shrieking squeals–I even admired her foul stench.

Alas, she broke my little porcine heart and left me for Hogzilla, who had ginourmous tusks.  My wings and collection of love arrows were no match for him.  Since then, I’ve stuck to dating pot belly pigs in the city.

Ahh.  I feel much better now.

That concludes our first edition of Critter Confessions.

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends!  We have a week full of fun stories, recipes and whimsical delights coming up!  Stay tuned!
