Critter Confession 4

Hello. We’re the Glitter Chicks.
And we have a confession.
Really, it’s an obsession.
A shameful dream.
A secret fantasy.
A whispered truth only to be revealed at midnight.

You see, we want to be doo-wop singers.
You know what we mean.

We want to croon. We want to sing sweet melodies like the Chantels and Supremes, swinging our hips in sequined outfits and long satin gloves with bouffant feathers.
We want to sing in the prettiest harmonies, bringing sassy life to lyrics like, “Wait a minute, wait a minute, hey Mr. Postman.”
And we dream of traveling the world, bringing our cheerful ditties to sad ears all around.
We want to sing, we want to wiggle, we want to giggle. We want to be a 50s girl group.

Can’t you imagine it?
We would strut out on stage under low lights in our matching glittery gowns. Then we would sing:
“Baby chick,
baby chick,
Oh how I need you.
(OooooAAHHHHoooooo)
But all you do is treat me bad,
Ruffle my feathers and make me tough,
Baby chick, it makes me sad.
(Baby, baby)
Baby chick, oh baby chick,
Why do you do me like you do?
You know my heart’s always been for you.
You know I’ve always been true.
(OooohhAAAAAoooooo.)
Oh baby chick, baby chick,
Don’t throw our love away,
Be mine for another day.”

And we’ve got plenty of other songs to sing about. Songs about love and roosters and broken chicken hearts….
So that, Invisible Friends is our confession. Our dream of being a 50s chick group.

“Baby chick, oh baby chick, we love you….”
Coming to a barnyard stage near you.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! We have a week of whimsical fun coming up!
**Song modified from Surpreme’s “Baby Love.”

Spangly feathers are just as good as spangly evening gowns. Less traditional, but good.

Surely the internet isn’t big enough for a talent like the 3 chicks? The least the universe could give them is a platinum recording artist career!

Oh i want those little chicks!!! Where on earth can I find some? Seriously…..
