12 Christmas Artists of the Pond
With so many creative women in the Land of Blogs, I thought it would be in the true proper spirit to feature them in a tribute to Christmas.

Fine, Queen Bitty demanded it.
Her decrees non-withstanding, I hope, Invisible Friends, you will enjoy the 12 Christmas artists of the Pond.
And now, without further ado….
The 12 Christmas Artists of the Pond
On the first day of Christmas, the Pond artist happens to be…

One of my best blog buddies, the fabulous Cinammon Spice and Everything Nice’s Reeni!
Gorgeous earrings, handstamped necklaces with crystals and charms…where can you go wrong? You can’t. Go here. I’ve already bought half of my Christmas gifts from her (including one for me!)
On the second day of Christmas, the Pond artist happens to be…

My best British buddy Marie!
Cards and recipes, adorable illustrations and angel teddy bears…how can you not stop there?
She also illustrated a certain book!
On the third day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…..
Jen from Tater Tots and Jello– (what a treat!)

Jen is a talented artist who can create something out of thin air–decorations and wreaths and burlap frames and pillows and…I’m exhausted. I can’t go on. (Note to self: order that pillow.) Just go there.
On the fourth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happens to be…

the fabulous Brooke from Tounge and Cheeky!
Cookies and pies and pastries and gorgeous photos…and even tips for those looking to increase their blogging prowess…what a fabulous artist!

In fact, she’s even baked some cupcakes just in celebration of being a Christmas artist of the Pond! And here’s her recipe, in her own words…

Blissfully Blonde Cupcakes
Pure, simple and absolutely wondrous. If you haven’t yet found a perfect vanilla cupcake recipe, this one may just become a sweet-tooth staple. A sweet and tasty cake which rises just round enough at the top to support a happy mound of Brooke’s Famous Buttercream. Positively gorgeous. Hey, you know what they say….Blonde Ducks have more fun!

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
A pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Two drops each of maple, almond & lemon flavorings to add that extra kick of flavor (optional)
In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and beat just until batter is well mixed. (*If you are NOT a high altitude baker, be sure to add an additional 1/4 tsp. of baking powder*). Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes, or just until the tops of the cupcakes have set. Remove from oven and cool.
Frost with Brooke’s Addictable Buttercream.

Go see her and check out how to make these drool-worthy creations!
On the fifth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…

my good buddy, Calico Daisy!
Pillows and aprons and shirts and throws…if you’re looking for something, it’s probably here (just so you know!)
On the sixth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…
my friend Summer from Artful Life!
Charming and whimsical, her prints magically come to life…

Now if Ben would order some, I’d be a delighted wife!
On the seventh day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…
The ever creative Lady of Lids, Kara-Noel! For your little one’s noggins, this is the place to go…though you may never see their hair again as they won’t take off their lid!
On the eighth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…

Shauna and her pretty bags! Cheap and cute, personal and efficient…these bags can be used for anything from diaper bags to purses!
On the ninth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…

the fabulous Rachael of Racheal’s Garden’s! I met her through our 12th Pond artist and fell in love with her work! She does all sorts of whimsical folk prints, bird houses, Christmas ornaments and best of all…she offers a 10 % military discount in appreciation of everything our troops do for us!
She’s truly what Christmas is all about. Go see her. Now.
On the tenth day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…

A fabulous SITSta, Aprons by Julie! Cute and clever, these aprons make me aspire to be June Cleaver!
On the eleventh day of Christmas, the Pond artist happened to be…

She bakes…she creates…did I mention the cupcakes? Or Mustache Mondays?
On the twelfth day of Christmas, the artist happened to be…

Kristen Andrews of La Dolce Vita, who we featured here! Check her out–you won’t be disappointed, trust me!
So whether you check them out now or in a week or so, these creative ladies are amazing, one and all.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! We have a week full of whimsy coming up!

Yes, my dear Duckie, it does, indeed, taste like pecan pie! But it does take some getting used to because the honey flavor can be a bit strong. In fact, dh commented that it was kind of like pecan pie baklava.
