A New Year of Resolutions
As to be expected, the creatures and critters of the Pond have many dreams, hopes and desires for 2010. Some are attainable, some are ridiculous and some are just hilarious. Judge for yourself, won’t you?

Queen Bitty: To take over the world.

Bear: To find a personal treat deliverer to hand me scrumptious treats whenever and wherever I desire them.

Crumbs the Owl: I want peanut butter cookies. I don’t care how I get them. I want them.

The Ducks in the Spa of the Land of the Flowered Bed: We’re still waiting on a jacuzzi….Maybe we’ll have to build it ourselves.

Jazzy the Kitchen Fairy: I want to write a cookbook. A magic cookbook for unmagical cooks.

Sandie the Stingray: I would like to find a way to slide across the carpet without getting rug burn.

Miss Moose McKinley: This year, I want to learn how to knit. I’d like to make some antler covers, as my antlers always get cold.
Cookie Stealing Bunny: To steal Crumbs’ peanut butter cookies.

King Baylor the Stickhorse: I want to take my midnight comedy act on tour and get a Comedy Central Roast.

Cookies the Owl: I want to learn Italian. Then I want to fly there next Christmas and order Italian cookies in Italian. Then Crumbs and I shall have a feast. With peanut butter cookies for dessert, of course.

Pumble the Bee: I’m going to lose ten pounds. (silence) Fine, I was lying. I plan to gain 10 pounds. I’m going to go make peanut butter cookies.

Blue Elephant: I plan to have a Blue Elephant New Year’s. It includes bubbles, dancing and pie. Lots of pie. And it stretches out until Jan. 31.

Booger the Lobster: I’m going to guard the Pecan Pie.

The Kitchen Ducks: We would like to learn to sail, then sail across the Grand Bathtub of the Guest Room. We can only imagine what harrowing adventures we shall have!

The Kitchen Chicken: I want to find a new nest in a good neighborhood that has wonderful schools for my little chick.

The Pink Penguins: Our goal is to travel somewhere exotic this summer. Like Paris, Texas.

Hairy the Hedgehog: As Mayor of the Land of the Flowered Bed, I’d like to continue to improve the amount of games we play, dances we choreograph and create a theater group of sock puppets.

Ladybug: I’m going to throw a grand Ladybug Ball for one and all!

The Flying Pigs: We plan to find more tasty grass.

Penelope the Pig: I’d like to purchase a hippo for a pet.

The Glitter Chicks: We want our top pop hit, “Shimmy your Tail Glitter,” to reach #1 on the Billboard charts.

Miss Frizzle: I want to create shoes for chicken feet. Do you know how unjust it is I can’t wear cute shoes because of my gnarly birdy feet that are ignored by designers? Well, I shall have unfashionable talons no longer!

The Pie Bird: I’m starting a campaign against only using blackbirds for pies. Why can’t bluebirds or cardinals be pie birds as well? I’m an equal opportunity bird, see!

The Love Pig: With Valentine’s Day coming up, I have lots of couples to create, hearts to mend, relationships to build…
Happy New Year’s to all my Invisible Friends!
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! Tomorrow we have a delightful Ode and Saturday, a new Creative woman of the New Year for the Pond! Stay tuned!

So the bee makes the PB cookies, the owl eats them, and the bunny steals them? You need to put a revolving door on the Flowered Bed!
