Brisket Tacos

Is there anything better than tacos?

Is there anything better than barbecue?

Particularly brisket on a barbecue?
Yes.
And I have found it.

Brisket Tacos.
They’re all the rage down here. And now I know why.

Just take some leftover brisket and shred it…or chop it if you like….

Add your favorite barbecue sauce (I mixed mine with a little salsa…)

Serve with beans and rice and corn for a true Southwest feast.
It’s Mexican.
It’s barbecue.
It’s a Texican delight.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! Tomorrow we have a new Dallas Jean Lee and Saturday, more whimsical fun!

Very Texan I think. Such a wonderful combination of flavors. You’re making me homesick for Texas and their great briskets. It is absolutely a whole other country.

There is a Tex-Mex place in town that does a brisket taco (or more accurately, sells a “barbecue” brisket that comes iwth a side of tortillas). I’m down with it. In fact, I’m so down with it that I”m going to insist on Mexican this weekend.
June 25th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Now I am really hungry!! They look so good

Great use of tacos. I’m not too strong on brisket…however I can tell by the ingredients that it must be quite the popular meal ;o)
Have a great Sunday and flavourful wishes, Claudia
