Peanut Butter Blondies
Do you want something delicious?
Do you want something sweet?
Do you want something with the creaminess of peanut butter and the richness of chocolate, yet the goodness of brown sugar?

Do you want something the cookie stealing bunny will drool over?
Do you want something easy and quick to make that’s going to taste like it took forever?

Then make these.
Peanut butter chocolate blondies, from this recipe from the Reece’s bag.

I really like making recipes from the back of packages. I have no idea why. It’s a weird thing.

You’re supposed to drizzle chocolate through these, but I didn’t have chocolate syrup, so I sprinkled chocolate and white chocolate chips on top.

I made these for the security guards at work, and they were thrilled.

Well, all except the middle. These are hard to bake without over baking, and the middle was a little too squishy. So beware.
But I’m also not the best at brownie making.

I’m much better at pie. I’m the Queen of Pie.
Excuse me. I have to go bake now.

Just beware of the cookie stealing bunny!
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! We have a new Butterfly Dress tomorrow and a new Comfort and Whimsy Saturday!

Love that you gave them to the security guards at work.Although I don’t think the bunny was too happy about it.

I think I like your version better. Those chocolate chips on top are what sold me! I’m off to get the recipe…
September 9th, 2010 at 2:36 am
I would eat this entire pan!
September 9th, 2010 at 3:42 am
Ciao ! I love the packages recipes too !!

What a wonderful treat daaaaahling. I’ve only ever made brownies out of a box. You should try the ghirardelli brownie mix, its pretty good (and no problems with uneven baking) and then you can even put a peanut butter layer on top, like this:

*kisses* HH
p.s. love the cookie stealing bunny. he reminds me of someone, but I just cant put my grubby fingers on it…

Love the cookie stealing bunny! I always cook mine so they are squashy in the middle too. They sound awesome though! Anything with peanut butter has to be good!
September 9th, 2010 at 4:58 am
I wish I could make my pies look as pretty as yours!
You and I must be on the same wavelength. I made blondies last night – choc-chip and pretzel ones from Maria of Two Peas. I would love something with peanut butter though. Yum.
Nothing wrong with back-of-the-bag recipes. They have provided me with lots of inspiration in the past and you know they have been tested well, so they will come out good. Squishy in the middle is a good thing! Who wants a hard brownie/blondie?
We truly are on the same wavelength, because I had a dream about you last night. Actualy, I had a dream that I was at your house, but never saw you. First I was looking around at all of the classic artifacts of the Pond (The Love Pig had a bit of a makeover.) Then your dogs came to greet me. Don’t freak, but there was a THIRD dog. I was playing with one dog and said, “You must be Bear because you have the white mark on your face, so that other dog must be Bitty.” Then I saw the second dog also had a white mark on its face. I wasn’t sure which one was Bear. Then I saw Bitty bringing up the rear. They were all very sweet, but as much as I waited around for you, you never made an appearance. I was disappointed, but I unfortunately had to wake up and couldn’t wait for you any longer.

This cookie-stealing bunny would eat the whole thing!
September 9th, 2010 at 6:00 am
Those sound super yummy!

Yum, Duckie! I love blondies. And hey, bars are not harder to make than pie! Pie is waaay hard. I like that both pie and blondies can yummily be topped with vanilla ice cream.
Happy Friday’s Eve.

Yum! A blondie sounds perfect right now. I love recipes on the back of packages too. Sometimes they are the best! I’ve found some good ones that way.
September 9th, 2010 at 6:31 am
Yummy blondie, It might be too sweet if you drizzle it with chocolate syrup, so replace it with chocolate chips is lovely idea.
September 9th, 2010 at 6:36 am
Yummy photos and cookies!
Have a yummy Thursday!

I have never made blondies. I will always go for the pure chocolate brownies. But they are pretty good.

My kids would love these – actually so would I!
September 9th, 2010 at 8:08 am
Peanut Butter + Blondies. Ummm…these had to have been named after you!!
September 9th, 2010 at 9:20 am
Uh, I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure a squishy middle is a YUMMY middle!! Brownies should be soft in the middle, that makes them perfect on the edges – they look delish!
September 9th, 2010 at 9:50 am
I can never get my brownies done in the middle without them being hard at the edges. I think it’s because it’s such a dense batter. Ah, well.
September 9th, 2010 at 10:03 am
Very nice the seventh picture!
September 9th, 2010 at 11:04 am
Those look delicious! I like the idea of sprinkling the chocolate chips on top instead of the chocolate syrup. I’m going to have to try these soon!
September 9th, 2010 at 11:08 am
There’s something so satisfying about making a recipe from the side of a box – you feel as though you’re fulfilling that food’s destiny!
September 9th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
I am glad that you do like to try new things. That way you share them with us. You always make me smile especially with the bunny. I will have to share this with my daughter. She will get a kick out of it, too.
September 9th, 2010 at 12:32 pm
You seem to be even better at smiling
September 9th, 2010 at 12:37 pm
I’m drooling over my keyboard!

Those look good, but I’m with you on the pie thing. I love pie.

Ms. Duckie…I think you’re onto something very yummy ;o)
You and that bunny share a very cute similarity

i don’t like to condone violence against animals, but i’d battle that bunny for a batch of these.
