Hello, Invisible Minions.   Queen Bitty here.

DSC04856

As is customary on New Year’s Eve, we here at the Pond have made our resolutions for 2011.   While most people want to lose weight or run a marathon or go to some exotic location, we Pond creatures have…other…resolutions.

I, Queen Bitty, want to take over the world.  Again.

My resolution is to wuffle more.  There’s simply not enough wuffling in the world.

I wish to become the King of Ostriches.

We, the Pink Penguins,  wish to open our own tropical bar in the Pond.  And not just any bar–a ice cream sundae bar.  With sprinkles, tons of sprinkles.  We love sprinkles.

I, King Baylor of the Stickhorses, want to take my one-man comedy show on the road.

I, Pumble, want my own cooking show.

Here in the Land of the Flowered Bed, we are determined to have some exciting adventures.

DSC07295

Hello, I’m Clyde the Camel.  This year, I’d like to find a friend to roam the great Carpets of the Pond with.  A giraffe or elephant perhaps…maybe a hippo.  No ostriches.

DSC05228

We, the measuring swans of the Pond, wish to find the world’s greatest peanut butter pie.  Who says swans can’t like peanut butter pie?

DSC06556

Cookies and Crumbs wish to find the world’s greatest peanut butter cookie, coincidentally.

Apparently, there are no diets in the Pond.

DSC05717

The Flying Pigs of the Pond wish to write a memoir about their experience finding tasty grass.  They are confident Oprah or Ellen will be eager to book them.

DSC05714

And Penelope, the purple pig, hopes to find a purple pig boyfriend to share next Valentine’s Day with.

DSC04712

As for the Blond Duck?  She has a big resolution she’ll reveal Tuesday, along with several little ones…

DSC06384

Like becoming Queen of the Hippoes.

And eating lots of beef ribs.

DSC07380

And creating the perfect sweet potato pie.

You’ll just have to wait and see.

Happy New Year from the Pond!

Thanks so much for the note. Yes, I do have an on going story.

So have some adorable pets. Ummm…ribs. Ever go to Llano, Texas for BBQ? We went this past summer and waited in the rain to get ribs and such off the pit. It was a hefty sum of money, but the beans and bread were free. Happy New Year!
