She is the holder of Bitty.
She is the pillow of Bear.
She is a friend and confident.
She is comfort and love.
And all I can say,
Is that I hope today, her birthday…
Is as delicious as her favorite, cherry pie.
Happy Birthday, Madre.
Cherry Pie
One nine-inch pie crust
Cherry premium pie filling (from can)
Place pie crust in dish. Empty cherry filling on top of it, then add crumb topping. Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Cover topping with foil for the first 20 minutes, then remove. Best served warm.
Crumb topping:
Mix 1 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup firm margarine or butter and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar until crumbly.
