Caramel Apple Pie
There’s only one thing better than apple pie.
Apple pie with a thick caramel sauce melted over it…
Dripping into every cinnamon-laced bite…
Wrapping around a blanket of crumbly goodness…
For the soft and spicy apples below…
And when it’s made with love by your mama…
Well, there’s no better pie than that!
Caramel sauce
Simply melt half a bag of unwrapped caramels and mix with Tblspn of milk. Heat for 1 minute. Add more milk if needed, mix and melt slowly until smooth. If it gets hardened during dinner, simply reheat.
And lick the bowl clean.

I can’t make that stuff because it’s too much for my willpower to handle!
Oh – and no, I have never heard of a 2 year old being put on a gluten free diet. But I suppose it’s possible to be born with a gluten allergy – there’s a ton of other allergies kids are born with.

Well, I couldn’t leave the caramels alone long enough to melt them. I’ll have to settle for regular apple pie.

Yum, I just made two apple pies last weekend. Went apple picking so the mad baker in me is obsessed now. I also made delicious apple butter. I’ve never made a caramel sauce for the pies though. That sounds yummy! I’ll try your version next.
