Caramel Apple Pie

Posted on September 29th, 2011 in Food

There’s only one thing better than apple pie.

Apple pie with a thick caramel sauce melted over it…

Dripping into every cinnamon-laced bite…

Wrapping around a blanket of crumbly goodness…

For the soft and spicy apples below…

And when it’s made with love by your mama…

Well, there’s no better pie than that!

Pie recipe found here!

Caramel sauce

Simply melt half a bag of unwrapped caramels and mix with Tblspn of milk.  Heat for 1 minute.  Add more milk if needed, mix and melt slowly until smooth.  If it gets hardened during dinner, simply reheat.

And lick the bowl clean.

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends!  Below is my response to Mama Kat’s workshop prompt!  And tomorrow we have a new Friday Five and new 500 words to our new mysterious tale!  Stay tuned!
