Ode to Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt and How I Love Thee
Ode to Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt With Nutter Butters
And How I Love Thee
Ode to peanut butter frozen yogurt,
And how I love thee,
for with four or five Nutter Butters,
You go from excellent to seriously tasty.
I hate to admit it,
But I’d been avoiding you.
Unwilling to be part of a trend,
I had turned my nose up, denying myself peanut butter “fro’yo”
But on a windy September night,
With my favorite dining partner in tow,
Over fajitas, our eyes met,
And as usual, I began to drool.
With the promise of peanut butter in the air,
We drove through the night,
When Ben whispered the magic words,
“What if we crushed Nutter Butters in it?”
Oh, the joy!
Oh, the taste!
Cold and creamy,
Warm and buttery,
Crunchy and sprinkly,
What a delight!
Sprinkles and peanut butter,
Nutter butters and cream,
Peanut butter frozen yogurt,
Is a duckie’s dream.
Ode to peanut butter frozen yogurt,
And how I love thee,
For Nutter Butters and sprinkles,
Are all I want and need.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends, for a new Shimmer!
And did you know the Gift is on Kindle and Amazon?

Peanut butter frozen yogurt WITH Nutter Butters? How can you go wrong? There is a frozen yogurt shop near the beach we go to where you pick and self serve your soft serve frozen yogurt and then hit the self-serve topping bar. Evil, but oh so good!

You are too funny!!
September 27th, 2011 at 3:05 am
The only thing better than froyo is froyo with some kind of peanut butter in it. This is a genius idea.
September 27th, 2011 at 3:25 am
Pretty sure you and I have identical food tastes!
September 27th, 2011 at 3:39 am
Haha I was just eating peanut butter!
September 27th, 2011 at 4:00 am
I’m addicted to peanut butter too!! Love it!
September 27th, 2011 at 4:14 am
You have me completely addicted to peanut butter, for sure.
The food blog is coming along, I have a post coming up and I’m waiting for an interviewer to return his interview questions back to me so I’m excited about that. Other than that, I made some chili with some Chili starter at Williams-Sonoma and that went along well, so I think I may post something about that. The link is http://thefooderati.wordpress.com.

Despite the fact that I love peanut butter, I have never before tasted peanut butter frozen yogurt OR Nutter-Butters. This needs to change. Pronto!
September 27th, 2011 at 4:29 am
Oh, and I bought your book.
September 27th, 2011 at 5:05 am
Oh gosh, I miss Nutter Butters . . . not sure about the peanut butter frozen yoghurt though. I’ve got a think about sour and salty . . . it doesn’t mesh with my taste buds, however sweet and sour does as does sweet and salty! xxoo

I have never tried that mix. I am thinking I need to after your plug.

Nutter butters are, without a doubt, my favorite American cookie. I used to eat them with my dad all the time. One day, I’m going to try making my own:

You are super adorable. I love your ode!!! I wish I could write an ode to candy corn right now. I just destroyed a whole bag in two days. I think I have a problem.

September 27th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
I’m a freaking pb fro yo ADDICT. Through and through I love the stuff with my whole heart. I wish I was lying. 16 ounces at a time, that’s my lucky number to devour each time I get it (at least 4 times a week). I don’t even save room in my bowl for sprinkles or nutter butters. But now that Im crvaing it, oh wait, that’s always, I think Ill have to add some sprinkles and nutter butters to tonight’s serving. Oh hey, Im Julia, nice to meet you
September 27th, 2011 at 4:08 pm
Yummy. I’ve never really gotten into fro-yo. One of my friends just opened up her own fro-yogurt store with acai berries and antioxidant toppings but PB looks oh so delicious. Excited to read more. – krystal
