Sometimes I forget,
How little you once were.
How you fit in my hand,
And trailed after my heels.
Sometimes I forget,
How you skipped across the carpet,
How you tumbled across the kitchen,
How you chased puppy dreams.
Sometimes I forget,
How you fit in my pockets,
How you bounced with joy every morning at the sight of my face,
How you went to bed without a single peep.
Sometimes I forget the times you’ve licked my tears away,
How you stick your tounge up my nose,
How you hide my socks around the house,
The squeaks from your old pink bone.
Sometimes I forget the way you made me laugh,
How you always make me smile,
How you follow me from dusk until dawn,
Searching the kitchen floor for every spare crumb.
Sometimes I forget,
I shouldn’t forget at all.
I should just treasure each moment,
How I should remember besides him, you’re most important.

Oh my goodness, your dogs are just too precious! And I love the shining chihuahua mischievousness that always shines in their eyes! I see it all too often in my own dog! Their energy is so inspiring!

They were absurdly small! A mastiff puppy is born weighing about 3 pounds, and mine have been around 25 pounds at 7 weeks!

I love the pic of the two of them cuddled up and sleeping. If we could get a friend for Angus we would, but unfortunately building rules say only 1 dog per family.
