Recipe and Review: Mostly Good Girls

Posted on October 13th, 2011 in Food, Stories

Sometimes, you just need a pie.

My buddy Sarah (second from left) needed a pie.

And not just any pie.

A coconut cream pudding pie.

Coconut, pudding, sugar, graham cracker crust…pure comfort.

Because sometimes, you need pure comfort.  Like friends and sugar.

In the YA book Mostly Good Girls by Leila Sales, the friendship between Katie and Violet has withstood a seriously tough prep school, boy drama and family troubles.  But their senior year, Katie begins to change in ways Violet can’t understand–and isn’t sure she wants to.

As a girl with few and treasured girlfriends in her life, I understand how important it is to have fabulous women in your life.  The greatest gift is to have a woman that will stand by your side, wipe away your tears and make your life.

And share a slice of pie.

Recipe found here!

Did you know the Gift is on Kindle and Amazon?

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends!  Mama Kat’s next week–for now, you can wait for Friday Five and a new edition of Blue Eyes!  Stay tuned!
