Magical Monday: Thanksgiving edition
I’m thankful for the way you make me laugh,
The way you let me dance and twirl,
how you patiently listen to my brilliant story ideas,
How you always tell me I’m your girl.
I’m thankful for how hard you work,
The dark circles under your eyes,
The dad I know you’ll be someday,
And how you’ll do anything to see me smile.
I’m thankful for the way you chase flies around the house,
The cold nose against my leg to remind me I owe a treat,
Your waffles, grunts and piggie snorts,
And the way you lay at my feet.
I’m thankful for your beating tail,
the barks to keep me on task,
The way you curl up in your bed at night,
and the magical barking every single walk.
I’m thankful for my family,
The critters I come home to.
For you give me a reason to write,
A thought to put words to.

In answer to your question… the cranberry coulis is a sauce but it’s more kid friendly when I serve it as a dip.

PS – Did you see The Invention of Hugo Cabret comes out this week? Are you going to go see it? I loved the book so much, and that is always a death sentence for the movie with me, but I still might.
