When the sky is a crisp clear blue,
With a few streaks of white,
And the wind blows the right way,
It makes me want to ride.
With the smell of the leather,
Clinging to my skin,
And the air whipping by,
I’d set out again.
First a walk and trot,
Then a full out run,
Hooves thundering underneath me,
Flying under the sun.
But for now,
I’ll have to wait.
But one day you’ll see,
I’ll be riding again.

Sounds like a great ride. My best friend rides daily, and barrel races on occasion. She loves it.

What a great picture! I love riding horses, especially running and jumping. Horses are so wonderful and powerful, I am an animal lover like you.

I’ve never ridden horse let alone stood up on one! The riding part needs to happen. It’s on my list of things to do.

I love to ride… it’s one of my favourite things to do. I think one of the hardest things about moving to NYC has been going from riding twice a week, to riding once every two months….
