Ode to Spring and How I Love Thee
Ode to Spring,
And How I Love thee,
For as my favorite season,
You make me giddy.
Summer is nice,
Fall is dandy,
But in Texas,
Spring is absolutely breathtaking.
Wildflowers and 80 degrees,
Baby critters and pie,
Burgers and buttercups,
Without spring, I’d probably die.
And don’t forget the bluebonnets,
So gorgeous and pretty,
It’s like driving past an ocean,
Blue as far as you can see.
And Spring brings Easter,
my favorite holiday,
With egg hunts and bunny cakes,
Pretty dresses and candy.
But my favorite part of Spring,
Are the sweet memories.
It’s when Ben and I started dating,
When we got married,
And when we got our puppies.
Ode to Spring,
And How I Love Thee,
For without you,
I’d be a sad little duckie.

I love Spring! (Although Fall is my favorite.) I wish Spring would last longer around here. We get maybe one nice month of Spring and then it’s off to Summer. Winter lasts way too long. Yesterday we had a lovely Spring day. The killdeer were chirping. The whistlepigs (like little gophers) were coming out of their holes and eating the grass. And then today it is as blustery as any day Winnie the Pooh experienced!

AWWWW! Spring wedding! Beautiful! I am more of a summer girl, but spring is much cooler where I live–if I lived in Texas, I would probably love spring much more! I love the bunny cake!

Spring is wonderful. It’s rarely too hot or too cold, and doesn’t stay that way for too long! I’m still fearful that winter could come back and bite us!

I wish we were still in Spring – now we are going into Fall but it’s not so bad. Winter however, not too fond of that!
