Simple
I still get giddy when my husband takes me out on a date.
I fix my hair and put on a pretty dress that twirls.
I fix dinner every night, usually from scratch, wearing an apron.
I like kicking around the house with Ben and the Babies.
People think I’m crazy when I tell them I’m still in love with my college sweetheart.
I don’t go on that many girls nights or getaway weekends. I like to see my friends during the week when Ben’s at work.
People tell me I’m hopelessly old-fashioned and outdated.
But they’re wrong. Because there’s one reason I do the things I do, and it’s nothing to do with the latest style or trend.
It’s love, pure and simple. Because that’s the only thing worth it.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! A new Wings tomorrow!

Bravo!! You know what makes you happy and that puts you miles ahead of most.
And I’ve been married a lot longer to my grade school sweetheart, and I still look forward to our dates, lunch with him at work, etc. I don’t vacation with girlfriends either; I’ll do dinner out if he has a meeting that night, but I’d rather be at home with the Knight & the fur-girls most nights.

Thank you for sharing your joy.

So inspiring! And so wonderful that you still feel that way about your husband. It’s not dumb. In fact, it’s a great example how married couple should be or try to be.

I love cooking and I have an apron but I don’t make a lot of things “from scratch”. I make tons of things from pinterest!

This is the perfect post to read as I finish my day. I am already counting down to my own date night on Friday this week. I can’t wait to have my sweet man all to myself and not have to share him with our kids for a few hours.
Spending every single day in love with your college sweetheart is the best possible way to live. We are both blessed!
