Dance
Posted on April 17th, 2012 in Stories
When life gets a little blue,
And you don’t know what to do,
Pull on your sparkliest shoes,
And dance.
When you’re filled with glee,
Exhilarated and giddy,
Slip on something pretty,
And dance.
When you feel like running away,
Escaping the dull grind and endless grey,
Grab some headphones and sneak away,
And dance.
When you find yourself all alone,
In a quiet house as quiet as a tomb,
Crank the speakers as high as they’ll go,
And dance.
Even if you find yourself with four legs instead of two,
The joy of music isn’t lost on you,
Wiggle your tail and bark and drool,
And dance.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! A new Wings mañana!

I agree – we should all dance like no-one’s watching.

I love your dancing frocks! Looks like you’re ready for a great night out. But sometimes the best dancing is when we’re home all alone jiving to the music of our own choice, free in the knowledge that no one else is watching xx

I wish I were a better dancer…

P.S. I think that the foot candy is just for poolside lounging; don’t think you can wear shoes with it…

I love dancing, LOL in fact I usually end up dancing when I am on the treadmill because the tunes are so good. Dangerous, but fun!

You two are so cute! And I completely agree with your great advice. Dance, dance, dance — even when writing! I sit on a giant ball and rock out frequently

Dancing is so wonderful. I wish there was a school for adults to learn how to dance and yet not perform or look silly in front of anyone else. Just for the pure love and stress release and how good it is for our bodies!

Wonderful pictures and message.
Though I should keep my dancing to myself–a partner’s toes can sure get injured around me.

Except right now I’m imagining my dance teacher reading this and adding, “just make sure when you dance, you’re practicing your class routine.”
