Ode to Potato Salad Bucket
Ode to Potato Salad (and How I Love thee)
Ode to potato salad,
And how I love thee,
For you are not only taste of summer,
But are light and creamy.
There’s nothing like having a bucket,
Of potato salad for your very own,
To turn dinner into simply scrumptious,
To a button popping conundrum.
Now this bucket can’t come from the grocery store,
Or even your local barbecue place,
It must come from the kitchen of someone you love,
A mom, a grandmother, aunt or anyone with a kind face.
For there’s nothing like digging into a cool bucket of potato salad,
That you don’t have to share,
Creamy goodness or vinegary bite,
Crunchy or soft,
Mustard or mayo,
Nothing matters but the tingle on your tounge,
this spudtastic delight.
And then you have the most brilliant idea,
You simply must shout,
“We shall have a potato salad party next Thursday–
Who’s up for it?”
Ode to potato salad,
And how I love thee,
For I’ll be waiting with my bucket,
At the potato salad party next Thursday.
Won’t you join me?
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! A new Friday Five!

I love potato salad and this is so cute! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I want to answer your question about whole wheat flour vs. almond flour. Almond flour has become very popular with anyone who wants to omit gluten from their diet. My husband and I have been trying a 6 month experiment to see if if makes a difference with the way we feel, cravings, etc. Almond flour is just finely ground almonds and does make a nice substitute for any kind of flour in the right recipe. It tends to be more crumbly and moist so it’s not for all recipes. Since this recipe had oats, the flour aspect was small. Hope that answers that! I wish you luck on the peanut butter giveaway! I actually can’t stand potato salad, but I love everything else about a BBQ. I love taking walks in the evening and smelling all the grilling going on. Just love the smells of summer!

So funny. But I don’t like potato salad. Not much of a picnic foods girl unless it is simple like Watermelon. Now that I think about it, I sound like my girls who don’t like foods with too many ingredients!
