The Costume Conundrum
It’s a common quandary before All Hallow’s Eve,
That effects young and old,
Pass any house and you’ll hear a scream,
“For what shall I be for Halloween?”
Sweet or scary,
Fun or flirty,
Oh, what should I choose!
Fuzzy or glittery,
Fairy or princessy,
Either way, I can’t lose.
Perhaps I’ll go strong,
Like Rainbow Brite,
Or Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
staking in the night.
Maybe I’ll grab some pom poms,
To cheer on trick or treaters,
Or don a tutu and toe shoes,
And leap straight into a pumpkin patch or two.
Perhaps I should go to the pages,
Of my favorite fairy tales,
And be little red riding hood or the little mermaid,
With a glistening green tail.
Oh what to do!
Who should I be- a genie or something with wings?
A pirate or hippo queen–
The only thing I know for sure is it must be pink!
What do YOU think?

Heehee I’ve been a black cat for like 20 years now! This year I might be Snow White or Little Red Riding Hood. You should be a. . . butterfly. . . or maybe a dragon. . . you do make the best princess though or fairy. Weren’t you a fairy last year?

I don’t get out much for Halloween. We do have a costume parade at my barn almost every year. I keep wanting to dress up Riddle as The Riddler. She already has a question mark on her head, so I could paint question marks all over her body. Then I could be Catwoman. We’d be two Batman villains together!
You should dress up as something no one expects. You are the big girly-girl, so you should surprise everyone with something really tough and boyish or ghoulish and gross.
