All about Bitty
Hi Invisible Friends. Bear here.
I am not a happy puppy.
Queen Bitty rules the Pond most of the time, but this week has been ridiculous.
After terrifying the Blond Duck into an early New Year’s Eve vet visit, Bitty was diagnosed with several herniated back discs and given a ton of medication. While the Blond Duck was thrilled it wasn’t a stroke or seizure, I was annoyed that she got the bed pillows and to hog the heating pad.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the Blond Duck has been fixing her chicken and rice every night and hand feeding her. I have to eat out of a bowl. Sigh.
Bitty gets praised for walking three steps, while I have to practically tapdance on a unicycle to get a treat.
Sure, I still get to sleep on a giant white pillow that Ben’s mom said is for decor only. Actually, I don’t really sleep on it. I lounge on it before bed, then wedge myself between the Blond Duck and Ben. My perfect sleeping spot is the crook of the Blond Duck’s back.
Too bad she doesn’t like it as much as I do.
But if all else fails, I still have my dolphin.
Now I just have to teach him to cook me chicken and rice.
Stay tuned, Invisible Friends! A new week of whimsy is coming!

Your dogs are so cute
I’m glad that your dog now has the meds that it needs and it wasn’t anything more serious.

I love the dolphin shots. Our big dog got a stuffed toy for Christmas and it lasted all of about 10 minutes before he turned it into a pile of scraps.

Oh no!! Poor Bitty. As one with ruptured disks, I feel her pain, but I’m pretty sure you still have it made, Bear-boy.

Glad Bitty is on the mend. Poor Bear. If he only knew
how fortunate he really is. I had one of the catz
to the vet this week. I should own stock in the clinic.

Tell the blond one to take a picture of you tap dancing on that unicycle. And give you more chicken and rice too. Suck it up, at least you get a bowl full and don’t have a sore back.

Poor Bear, feeling neglected while Bitty’s not well. We had a dachsund with herniated discs once; she had to have lots of cage rest. I hope you guys are all feeling better soon.

Oh Duckie . . . so sorry to hear that Bitty wasn’t well. How scary and sad. Glad she is on the mend now though. (((((hugs))))) So sorry for being a bad blog buddy this past year. I read often, but only rarely have time to comment. I felt I must this morning because I wanted you to know how sorry I was that Bitty was ill. Our fur babies are so important to us. xxoo

Oh no, that’s terrible news. One of my girls had a herniated disc and we were looking at $4000 of surgery. Fortunately she improved and didn’t need the surgery but yes, she was given a heat pad and lots of treats and special food like her favourite, BBQ chicken! My other dog was a bit jealous of all the fuss so I understand – I understand! xx
