If I was an elephant, I’d learn to hula hoop. With my trunk.
If I was an elephant, I’d jump rope so high I’d accidentally lasso the moon.
If I was an elephant, I’d crush my own peanuts to make my own peanut butter and jelly. And eat a bucket every day.
If I was an elephant, I’d ride about town in a hot air balloon– a car or bus simply wouldn’t do.
If I was an elephant, I’d wear a bow on my trunk and go get a pedicure every week. Because an elephant never has stinky feet.
If I was an elephant, I’d stroll along with a parasol of palm leaves– well, actually, the whole palm tree.
If I was an elephant, I’d paint pictures with my tail and play trumpet with my trunk–an artist and band all in one.
If I were an elephant, I’d stretch my trunk so high I’d pluck stars like diamonds from the sky.
If I was an elephant, I’d go swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and surfing in the Pacific. My board? Well, of course it’d be a cruise ship!
If I was an elephant, I’d make friends with all sorts of tiny little creatures and let them ride on my back. Except for mice and ants–they are a bit too terrifying for that.
But the best part of being an elephant….
Would tap-dancing and twirling my tail. Because as an elephant, not only do we dance big– but we dance well.
