Easter Nibbles

Posted on March 27th, 2013 in Food

Thanks for sticking with me yesterday– sorry my blog was down for so long because of the server!

As ya’ll know, Easter is my favorite time of the year.

When I was little,, my parents threw an Easter party every year.  It took over our front yard, back yard and neighbors yard with eggs hidden for three levels– babies, little bitties and “eggsperts”.

My dad even dressed up as the Easter bunny.

But this year, along with our traditional Easter bunny cake and the Babies’ egg hunt, there’s some new things I want to try.

Betty Crocker

These cute cupcakes…

Even cuter Rice Krispie Treats (with sprinkles, of course)….

And jellybeans.  Because what fun is Easter without jellybeans?

What are your favorite Easter treats?

Tomorrow, a brand new link to Mama Kat’s Weekly Workshop!  And Friday, we have a brand new edition– the illustrated Friday Fairy Tale!  ”Us Again” will be mailed out in my subscription every Sunday, so sign up on the side!

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends!

I love Easter and the treats that come with it :) I must admit your bunny face cake has got my mouth watering!! I’m not a baking whizz so I’ll settle for mini eggs.

This year my Easter candy is limited to peeps and Lifesaver Gummies, but at least I’ve still got those! (Though I will miss not having a Reese’s Bunny this year, such is life)

I just love the ham dinners, but my MIL is making lasagna…booooo.

I love a good Easter Pie/pizza rustica. The more meats the better andit should have plenty of parmiggiano reggiano flavoring the ricotta.

    I await my new subscription!

I love Easter. We would wake up to filled Easter baskets and then, my mom would start making dinner while we ate candy. Then, we would eat dinner while we watched the Ten Commandments. I don’t know what I’m doing this year, but I’m excited. Also, I look forward to the new installment of Us Again.

So much yum! I love the bunny cake and I want those krispie treats! I’m not sure what we’re eating for Easter yet. We have two brunches on tap (one Saturday, one Sunday). I’m bringing veggies, hummus & guacamole to Sunday’s brunch

Easter was always big with our family, too. Huge picnics when we could find a place and know there would always be at least one egg no one could find. I’m thinking that hollow chocolate bunny was always a favorite in my Easter basket. Have fun!

i eat jelly beans year-round, but they’re especially delicious during easter. :)

That cake looks so delicious with all of that coconut and the cupcakes are so cute! When we lived in California we lived close to the Jelly Belly factory. You could get every kind of jelly bean imaginable there!
