Whimsical E-Zine

Posted on May 23rd, 2013 in Stories

I have a brilliant idea.

And I need your help.

I’m going to turn my professional site, www.wordsnwhimsy.com, into a whimsical e-zine focusing on all things creative and fabulous: writing, art, fashion, books and of course, delicious non-sensical treats.  Features would include:

  • A day in the Life….A weekly feature where I crash someone’s office and learn what it’s like to be them for a day.
  • Writing contests
  • Interviews with authors and artists where YOU get to submit the questions, called Ask Me Anything
  • How to…crafts, dresses, making your own book….there’s no end to the chaos.
  • Cute Critter of the Week…because life isn’t great without cute critters.
  • Creative Twist– From saving money to cardio, here’s little ways to make life easier you’ve never thought of.

So what I’d like from you, Invisible Friends, is submissions!   Would anyone like to write a fashion column or give advice?  Anything you’d like to see?  Let me know!

Stay tuned, Invisible Friends!  A new Us Again tomorrow!

For more fun, visit my sister blog, Words n'Whimsy or sign up for my newsletter (both buttons on sidebar!)

I’d be happy to link up with a recipe or something… That’s about the only “how to” I do, although I do have some older posts about how to make life easier as a single mom.

I’m sorry to hear your family in OK was in the path of the tornado. Hoping they are all physically safe.

How exciting, you have some wonderful ideas. Though I can’t commit to doing anything regularly I’d love to so some kind of feature for you every now and then – perhaps I could be your UK correspondent. Good luck.

I LOVE the idea of “A day in the life.” I think that would be fascinating on so many levels. And I constantly wonder what people really do all do. I know that I’m a mother and a photographer, but my husband is an Operations Manager. What the heck does that entail?

  9. Pam Says:

I think it’s a great idea! Life is too crazy to take on another project but I would definitely read your e-zine.

Oh my gosh this whole time I thought you were actually talking about your sister’s site! Sounds great. I’ve done a few guest posts and truth be told they were always such a chore, I have enough trouble writing my own blog posts, but good luck with this new venture.

by the way, did you ever see my mermaid post. It’s a few weeks old now but I knew it’d be right up your alley :)
