This Friday, the Blond Duck reveals while she is a lover of food and all things tasty, she will never be a foodie.

Top Five Reasons the Blond Duck will Never Be a Foodie:

1) The Blond Duck gags at the words foodie, fro-yo, amaze balls and yum-o.

2) The Blond Duck abhors most food trends like oaties, protien-powder laced cookies, flour less cookies and kale chips (unless needed for celiac/ medical reasons.) I grew kale as a science project in the 5th grade. I’m not eating it with salsa.

3) My food pictures stink.

4) The Blond Duck likes ribs. And burgers. No fancy burgers, no chipolte-laced sauces. Bacon, cheese, beef. Meat, meat, meat.

5) My pies are from scratch, but I use cake mixes without shame.

I saw this on my buddy Leah’s blog and knew it would be perfect for my Friday Five. So this Friday, you learn the five things it takes to be the Blond Duck….

1) To be the Blond Duck, you must twirl. A lot.

2) To be the Blond Duck, you must love puppies.

3) To be the Blond Duck, you must still get excited every time Ben’s car pulls into the garage before dinner.

4) To be the Blond Duck, you must live in stories, breathe stories and think of yourself as a book character.

5) To be the Blond Duck, you must think you’re a better dancer than you are.

Five Things You Never Knew About the Blond Duck

1) I draw snails all over everything. Even when I’m doing interviews for work.

2) They’re all named Snuffy.

3) When Ben and I had class together in college, his papers were filled with lots of Snuffys. And Snuffy’s girlfriend.

4) The other thing I draw is swirls and flowers.

5) I took advanced art in high school… And I’m thinking about picking it up again.. What do you think?
